The 2009 conference will provide physicians, surgeons, nurses, transplant coordinators and all kinds of organ procurement personnel with advanced knowledge in all aspects of organ donation.

Plenary sessions, breakout sessions and workshops will give opportunities for both formal and informal discussions on numerous topics. Delegates from around the world will participate in the event.

The meetings of the ISODP are biannual meetings, alternating with the conferences of the TTS. For the first time the conference will be organised in close cooperation with the ETCO (European Transplantation Coordinators Organisation). Therefore, the meetings provide an ideal opportunity for scientific discussion and exchange of new ideas with the focus on the basic topic of organ transplantation, which is organ donation. Transplantation is not possible without prior organ donation.
